December is here and It’s time of giving.
It’s time of reflection to what is important to you. I want to share with you this conversation with my 7 year old with you.
Mom: “Who’s birthday is it on Christmas day?
Son: hmm grandma
Mom: That is true it is nanay’s birthday on christmas day. But who else?
Son: Jesus
Mom: so… why are you expecting gift? why am i expecting a gift?
Mom: Should we then give a gift to the birthday celebrant?
Son: yes………
With that, we think on how we can give! We both agreed and decided to join Samarita’s Purse.
to fill 10 shoe boxes.
My son decide to make 5 boys and 5 girls shoe boxes!
And so we put them together! Below are some pictures!
My son’s joyful faces!
And so, whether you are celebrating with trimming trees, lighting candles or other tradition, our family wishes you joy!
This joy of giving which last for a lifetime!
As mom however, you know how difficult it is to hold my self not to buy a gift for my children 🙂 so I will still wrapped presents and put it under the christmas tree. I am hoping though that the true meaning of this season be more understood.
Lots of Love,
Irene.
