“Love blossoms virtually anytime two or more people – even strangers – connect over a shared positive emotion.”
I like this note from Barbara Fredrickson, PhD in her Love 2.0 book. The keyword for me is positive. Positive interaction no matter how small and to whoever, builds a capacity in our heart, body and spirit to give love.
Try these to find Love everywhere:
1. Make it a habit to look at people’s faces anywhere! It can be from a coffee shop, line in the grocery store or waiting for your kids after school. This make it easier to exchange smile and friendly words.
2. Hold doors open for others when you get a chance, again positive interaction!
3. Search for micro moments with your family. I wake up my kids fifteen minutes early to give us time to tickle each other and to give hugs and kisses before we rush for breakfast and school. Call your husband or sweetheart at lunch time just to say hi or ask how is he doing.
Positivity, it all adds up! Have wonderful Valentine’s Day!
