THE HEALTHY CARPET STORY:

The Healthy Carpet was conceive May 2014, while I was six month pregnant with our second son. I am in terrible condition because I have asthma.  I need to use my Nubulizer machine, every night and when I wake up. I remember rolling over to my Nebulizer just for me to breath. As most people with asthma will suspect, carpet is one of the culprit.  I also thought of changing and removing all the carpet in the house.  But as I do my research, I found out that carpet is very very important!  It is out biggest air filter.  The key is proper maintenance!

So I search for a Carpet Cleaner, I have ONE requirement, it should be no smell carpet cleaner.   No smell is important to me because I am very sensitive to smell before I am pregnant, so you could just imagine how worst it become after I got pregnant. Smell is an asthma trigger for me. You think with just one requirement this is easy?  Think again! A carpet cleaner with no smell is nowhere to be found in Apex, Cary or even in Raleigh. There are a lot though who advertise GREEN cleaning, but you need to out of the house for two hours because the smell is unbearable.  This is puzzling to me.

So I continue my research and found ONE company in California.  They are in carpet cleaning business for 20 years at the time I did my research (2014). The description of their cleaning product is impressive.  But, don’t just believe in some website marketing right?  Believe in Safety Data Sheet (SDS).  Below is a snip of the product Safety Data Sheet Hazard identification.   What is SDS or Safety Datasheet? SDS is required document need to be provided by the chemical manufacturer, distributor, or importer  to comply with The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS).

So long story short, I order the product and the machine and test it in our own home.  My asthma attack subsides, my use of nebulizer stop and even less ventolin. My sons also have the same allergic reaction to indoor allergens like me, so me and my husband decided to start our own carpet cleaning business and have this wonderful cleaning product available to other families. The Healthy Carpet was born, approved, licensed  July 9, 2014, certified and insured August 2014. That is just few days and month  away from my delivery date of August 31st.  It is crazy to do this at the same time I know, but a healthy home is a less stress home, less asthma attack, our family is happier.

Now, It gives me a goose bumps when I talk to mothers whose children are suffering with either asthma or allergy. It gives me joy to help because I know exactly what they are going thru. This ignites our passion promote a healthy home,  our cleaning products does not only remove your stain and clean your carpet, it is so pure, that when we clean your home we will improve your Indoor Air Quality.  We are tested and approved to use IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) logo.
